Yep! My 73 and 71 had various differences in finish, with factory color.
Some are molded in color, like the rubbery trim along the top edge of the head liner. Best thing is to carefully strip it, using diluted MKE with Alcohol, fast and wait for it to evaporate, it will make rubbery sections sticky, if you allow too much cleaning at once.
The crash pad is an egg shell/matte, while the dash pad is flat. Door panels are egg shell/matte, but depending on age and color will become flat.

Best way to determine is the back sides of the panels and trim.
I have a panel that was painted by the factory with an odd silver, at an area usually covered. Don't know if it was going to be a two tone option for 71 with blue, but it seems very odd and a bit sectioned off as if it was a test panel. No other panels have the extra colour. But it does show a good indicator of what was prayed as for finish and colour match, as some panels are sprayed.
Example the steering column being flat looked slightly lighter than the egg shell finish of the other parts. The console lid a wee darker, as it's molded in the colour. Some molded vinyl colours sun fade. Like my blue console lid has a greenish tent. The vinyl may look shiney due to wear and cleaning. ArmorAll will be nasty to clean off, if repainting.
